Glamorgan is an area steeped in history and surrounded by legends of lost villages, epic battles, spirit hounds and red goblins.

The surrounding coastline is one of Britain's best-kept secrets. In 1973, it became the first coastline in Wales to be awarded Heritage Coast protection. It’s a spectacularly wild and rugged place where huge, dramatic cliffs tower over restless incoming seas; the same seas that King Arthur sailed across on his journeys from Celtic Cornwall.

There’s hundreds of places to see and plenty of things to do here. Activities range from golf to fresh water and sea fishing. Glamorgan has 14 golf courses in total .

It’s also great for walking and cycling. A popular route is along the heritage coastal walk. The views are truly stunning. This is probably one of the best ways to really discover one of the most beautiful parts of Wales.

One place not to be missed is the Museum of Welsh Life at St Fagans. It’s fascinating as well as incredibly detailed. It was set up in 1948 and has become one of Wales’ most popular heritage attractions. It gives us a unique insight and creates a lasting picture of Welsh life over the last five hundred years.
